Easy Home Made Apple Pie
Ingredients
- Pillsbury Pie Crusts (2Pie Crusts)
- 3 Apples
- 3/4 Cup of Sugar
- 2 TBSP All Purpose Flower
- 3/4 TSP of Cinnamon
- 1/4 TSP of Salt
- 1/8 TSP of Nutmeg
- 1 TBSP of Lime Juice
Instructions:
PREPARING INGREDIENTS
1. Peel three Apples. You can use a knife (as shown in the video), or a vegetable/fruit peeler
2. Cut the Apples in half and proceed to remove the seeds and core of the apple
3. Slice Apples into thin slices and place them in a large bowl
4. Add 3/4 Cup of Sugar
5. Add 2 TBSP All Purpose Flower
6. Add 3/4 TSP of Cinnamon
7. Add 1/8 TSP of Nutmeg
8. Add 1 TBSP of Lime Juice
9. Proceed to gently mix all the ingredients
10. In a 9 inches pie plate, place the bottom Pillsbury Pie Crust (defrosted). Press gently against the pie plate (As shown in the video)
11. Add the mixture of ingredients, and place them evenly
12. Cover the mixture with Top Pillsbury Pie Crust
13. Tuck and Pinch top and bottom crusts to seal the pie and create a thick rim
14. Pinch to form a uniform and decorative edge
15. Slit the top crust to your liking. (We opted to create a happy face on our pie). It is recommended you slit the crust from the center down. Slits will prevent crust to puff during baking process
16. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
17. Bake pie from 40-45 minutes. (If edges brown too quickly, proceed to cover edges with 2-3 inches wide aluminum foil strips
SERVING THIS HAPPY APPLE PIE
1. Let it cool down for at least 2 hours
2. A warm Apple pie can be served with vanilla or strawberry ice-cream
